At this years Moers Festival I will be perfoming with Not On The Guest List saturday the 14.may. We are looking forward to the release of our debut album in october, and are doing some shows this summer to warm up for our release tour.

COKKO: Album release march 2016!

 

The album “The Dance Upon My Grave” is being released the 31.march 2016 on the label Playdate Records!

Together with Marte Eberson and Ole Mofjell they make the trio Cokko, a group that resulted after playing in the jazz quintet Morning Has Occurred for five years. Wanting to go in a different direction with the music, they combine a rich synthesizer landscape with drums, percussion, and voice with and without electronics.  The album was recorded in Ocean Sound Recordings at the isolated island Giske in Norway, by sound engineer Karl Klaseie, who also mixed the material. They spent five days in the studio improvising 30 minute stretches on to tape, and after choosing the material they felt was pushing the boundaries, building songlike elements on top of them.

PIECES OF SOLITUDE

The debut album Pieces of Solitude came out november 2015 on the label Va Fongool.
